Inspired by the earliest days of the American story. The Liberty Series Betsy Ross Flag combines historic symbolism with the deep, scriptural carving that defines the Liberty Series. Built from approximately 3” thick material, each flag is individually shaped to create dramatic folds, sweeping contours, and deep shadows that give the impression of a flag caught in motion.
The traditional 13-star Besty Ross arrangement surrounds a hand-carved 1776, while “We the People” is carved across the lower stripes, a tribute to the founding ideals that have shaped the nation for generations. Rather than simply applying the design to a flat surface, the lettering follows the peaks and valleys of the flag, becoming part of the movement of the piece itself.
Each stripe is individually carved, burned, brushed, and finished to emphasize the natural grain and weathered character of the wood. The stars, numbers, and lettering are also carved by hand, preserving the subtle variations that make each flag unmistakably one of a kind.
Lake every Liberty Series flag, no tow Betsy Ross flags will have exactly the same contours, grain, carving, or finish. Those differences aren’t defects to be eliminated, they are part of what makes each piece individually built rather than reproduced.
