Built with rugged craftsmanship, inspired by the enduring character of American heritage.

Why I Build

I believe craftsmanship matters.

I believe quality outlives trends.

I believe the things I build today will still be valued generations from now.

The things we surround ourselves with become part of our story. They should be built with purpose, made to last, and worthy of being passed down.

At Rusty Chisel Woodworks, I create handcrafted furnishings, decor, and heirloom pieces that celebrate craftsmanship, quality materials, and the enduring character of American heritage.

Every project begins with thoughtfully selected materials and a commitment to quality over convenience. Visible joinery, natural grain, and hand-applied finishes aren’t simply design choices, they’re reminders that each piece was crafted by hand, one at a time.

I don’t believe craftsmanship should be hidden. The marks of thoughtful design and construction are meant to be seen, appreciated, and celebrated.

My work is inspired by the traditions of American craftsmanship and the belief that well-made furniture and decor should become part of a family’s story. Whether it’s a handcrafted American flag, an entryway bench that welcomes you home each day, or a piece of heirloom furniture, my goal is always the same: to build pieces worthy of becoming tomorrow’s heirlooms.

My Principles

Craftsmanship

Every piece is thoughtfully built using quality materials, traditional techniques where appropriate, and careful attention to detail. I believe true craftsmanship is found in the details that often go unnoticed, because those details are what stand the test of time.

Heritage

My designs are inspired by the enduring character of American craftsmanship. Rather than chasing trends, I strive to create timeless pieces that will feel as relevant decades from now as they do today.

Legacy

Furniture should do more than fill a room, it should become part of a family’s story. My hope is that every piece leaving my workshop is built not only to be enjoyed today, but to be appreciated, cared for, and passed down to future generations.

Rusty Chisel Woodworks began while I was serving as a police officer. Woodworking became more than a hobby, it became a way to create with my hands after years of serving my community. It offered a different kind of purpose: one measured not by urgency, but by patience, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

Today Rusty Chisel Woodworks represents the next chapter. Not simply a business, but a pursuit of creating handcrafted pieces that bring warmth, character, and authenticity into the places people gather most.

Whether you’re welcoming family in your home, commemorating a milestone, or simply looking for something built with integrity, thank you for allowing me to become a small part of your story.
